High School

It's the big looming thing on the road of my future.
Rumor is, on friday, we'll be going to the school to see what it's all about. Hopefully, it's not the Hokey Pokey. (get it?)
But from there, it's only, like, 4 weeks? i think that's right. and i know i have at least 600 more points in algebra tests to hold my grade up.
Sure it will be fun. More freedom, better classes, more passing period, the list goes on. But i feel like there's a big hole in everything. and that hole will be my social life. All of my 7th grade friends get left behind for a year. and the 6th graders for 2 years. The worst will be not seeing Anna. I like constantly talk to her. There will be others I'll miss.
But at least i have AIM and almost halfway decent internet connection.
And ya know what else??? For a year, I'll be the only tenor sax player in the band!!! But then i'll have Anna's talent to pep up my spirits.
ya see? now you got me spilling my feelings in type on a blog no one even reads anyway. i don't see why everyone had a blog. no one has time to read anyone elses anyway.
just call me ADDMan!
ADDMan OUT!!!

Help me Help ALL OF US

Hey guys. I know at least a couple people read my blog and I need an accurate count of how many. And not just to see if I have the most people out of my friends.

No.

I need your help to save the world.

'Yeah right!' you're saying. I know. Trust me; I get that ALL the time. No joke.

And maybe there isn't much YOU but, if every one family or person changed one habit, we could practically save the world ourselves.

If every company took better measures to prevent waste, we could nearly save the world.

If every government teamed up and spent the money we use for war on ways to help the environment (like sponsoring an Automotive X-Prize Contender) we could almost save the planet. But even that alone would probably not completely SAVE the planet.

But if we did all of this stuff, if we took a kid like ME seriously, if we all showed even the slightest bit of care, we could, TOGETHER, SAVE THE WORLD. No joke.

So please, comment. Tell me who you are, and what YOU are doing to help. Or just tell me if you read my blog.

And trust me, I'm not ALWAYS lecturing on how to save the planet. But today I am and I need your help. PLEASE.

If you can't think of a way to help, I have a couple ways for you:

1. Save water. You may think just because 3/4 of the Earth's surface is water, you can waste as much as you fancy but it's not the truth. We get water from underground aquifers. They are going on empty and once we run out, no more water.

2. Use compact fluorescent lights. If everyone replaced ONE incandescent light with a fluorescent, it would be like taking a million cars off the road. It saves money and they last longer too.

3. Carpool. No difference right? WRONG! If everyone rode two to a car instead of one, it would be the exact same as taking half the cars off the road. Carpooling is convenient too. I've done it. It saves gas and you can have fun seeing your friends more often.

4. Don't use more electricity than you need. If you're going out of your house, don't leave all the lights on. It fools no one if all the lights are on and stay on for 5 hours. Don't leave the light in your room on while you eat dinner. Just simple things like that.

5. Find out on your own what you can do to help. There are many sites that would like to tell you what to do to help. There are also many people like me that want to help you help save the planet.

And don't say 'oh, you can handle it' to the people like me. Even if we tried, we'd crash and burn. We need EVERY SINGLE PERSON to help.

Find out what you can, do anything (or everything) you can to help, and post comments (or email me at saxparrot@gmail.com. I would love to talk and use your ideas)! Thanks so many times over. :]

hey! party time! Hal and Katie and Olivia are here now. Katie is reading over my shoulder. Olivia is watching Rugrats go Wild and playing hide and seek. So Katie and i are left to watch the movie.
Anna was gonna invite me to go skating at skateland south but since i couldn't have anyway i guess it's a good thing she didn't.
i'm getting really bored now. i might have to type on the other blog. but you don't know that one.
i guess i should tell you about Illuminati Motor Works. it got me mentioned in Illinois country living. but now I'm bored so just check out the website. maybe I'll have something posted later.

HI YA'LL

a lot has gone on since i last typed. I'm amazed i haven't been drawn to the blog but I've noticed something. i blog when life is giving me limes. this blog is like making margaritas. so i blog when life is bad. so that's what I'm blaming my lack of blogging on. life IS going well. awesome ISAT week so far. and now I'm going out with Anna. had a couple fun weeks. weather's finally warming up. life is good.
ISATs have been a breeze. and coming from me thats saying something. i must have good teaches cause all the stuff on those pages is like stuff I've know forever. not ISAT. EASY!
and i mentioned i was going out with Anna. nothing new there. middle school dating and all that. stressful but a part of life. I'm also laughing my butt off at Dalton and Elizabeth because Elizabeth's parents won't let her go on a date unless it's a double date which means that Dalton needs me to bring Anna somewhere. i find that very funny. very funny indeed.
these past weeks have been fun. end of the quarter. good grades. easy ISATs. nothing like a lack of stress to bring the life back into someone. not felt better since fall. and speaking of which...
it's also warming up! i can't believe it but i walked home in a t-shirt and shorts and it was WARM! not much longer and I'll be sailing with my friends. Ready Anna, Leanne, Ally, Dalton, Mitch, and Justin??? better get ready. i imagine we'll be fixing the boat up and getting ready to drop in by spring break!
so that's why life is good. it also explains my lack of blogging and why I'm in such inexplicable good moods! yay me!!!
