Sad news y'all....

Wellllll.....Banana Republics is coming out of the water tomorrow. Big day. Got a ton of stuff to do but we got a lot done now. I guess y'all wanna hear why....

Well....okay. all y'all that we're on the boat at the beginning of the year....remember how she sailed fast, turned sharp, and looked (without the lichens) very nice? well....not anymore. Those of you who helped close the year....remember how she went really slow, couldn't hold a good course, had a green bottom, and had the strangest footprint in the water? welll.....lets just say we have some work to do. lots of work.
Work that involves taking the boat apart completely and putting it back together.
And i need all y'all's help.

the weather is here....

well, i could go for Buffett quotes and say, wish you we're beautiful, but i have a more important issue at hand. It's storming. I'm sure the paronia will set in soon for some of you. but here in Hicktown Illinois, it's already raining. actually, it started between when i started this post and now but that just means it started in the last minute. anyway, it's raining, and it's gonna storm. but this is just a nice little garden variety storm so be happy! just some rain and some pretty electricity. you should be careful, some people describe this as 'deadly cloud to ground lightning' but you'll all be fine as long as you don't stand in your yard holding something tall and metal. and keep clear of me too xDDD.
but i just wanted to tell y'all to be safe sooooo....BE SAFE! i hope i see you all tomorrow.....

i fell down the stairs. and it hurt. and the people out there laughing. stop its sort of funny.... ok its funny. oh ya and i landed on my sister dont worry shes alrite. sort of. >.<

the new person

i am new so dont correct me on the spot. im seriose dont correct me. ok i have two demons in my house and i cant get away from them. but later on. well i want to be a chef. i know its weird but i do want to be a chef. hey no laughing. ok thats all i have to say. for now.

well that was fun.

Finally my parents came home just when the full front of the storm hit. I feel kinda stupid now cuz it was just really bright lightening. But I guess it's cuz I hate storms and now I don't really enjoy being home alone. The two should not go together xD

Home Alone and Freaked

Again I'm home alone. And it's getting ready to storm. Just my luck. I'm sorta freaking out now but my parents should be home in like, ten or so minutes thank god. I'm just distracting myself with this blog thing.

Kampsville

Well, i got this at the regatta a few weekends ago (we ate at Louie's) and i meant to put it on the blog but i kept forgetting. but it's still a ways off so here you go...

That is everything on the flier (except a picture of a steamboat that i would rather not find and add) and it looks pretty interesting.
Something it didn't really clarify, it's not really a civil war re-enactment but it is demonstrations of civil war stuff. The cavalry does a few demonstrations and the artillery shoots over the river on and off all day. or at least that's what happened last year. It's tons of fun and lots of stuff for everyone to do.
It's about an hour drive to Kampsville but well worth it. Calhoun County is probably my favorite county in Illinois and i'm sure many would agree with me. There's plenty of stuff to do in that area and it's well worth it. And, if we work this out right, we might be able to 'shoot' at you as you cross on the ferry. that's what we did to my dad last year. it's really awesome and i think you should all come.

Wisconsin

I guess i kinda forgot to tell you. I went to Wisconsin. but i'm back now. and i had a good time. though i'm feeling a little 'in-need-of-attention.'
and guess what! my little post about a Hobie...it's happening. a white-with-blue-trim Hobie 18! It'll be fast but even more work than a Hobie 16 because 18s have jibs (goobers). But it also has the wing seats so you guys won't HAVE to use the trapeze. not saying it isn't there. from what I've heard, it's it's a really cool boat.
But we don't know when we're gonna get it yet. soon i hope.

But even when we do, the guy that's selling it to us is still gonna come sailing with us every now and then. just another passenger we can scare.
Altough, i also have some news that isn't to good but is subject to change maybe. maybe.
The news i just got is that we may be going to the QC this weekend. it's been to my plan to have a big sailing extravaganza this weekend so we can brag about it when we go back to school. but if i'm 3 hours away, that'll kinda put the brakes on that. so i'm gonna do everything in my power to keep this weekend open for me and tell me if y'all are open for this weekend.

Another addition to the fleet! coming soon, a used Hobie Cat! A classic one-design racer, it's built to be fast, slim, and more fun than one person can handle. it's also slightly more dangerous and demands more crew, skill, and attention. but, it'll, no doubt, be the fastest boat sailing on Lake Springfield. now we just have to decide who's sailing what. now that we have 4 sailboats!!!
